Zygmunt Zimowski

Zygmunt Zimowski (7 April 1949 – 12 July 2016) was a Polish prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. Zimowski had served until his death in July of 2016 as President of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Health Care Workers. He was born in Kupienin, Poland.

He has been head of that office since his appointment by Pope Benedict XVI on 18 April 2009. He lastly served as bishop of Radom from 2002 until 2009.

Zimowski died on 12 July 2016 from pancreatic cancer in Dąbrowa Tarnowska, Poland, aged 67.[1]
