The Blue Picardy Spaniel (or Épagneul Bleu de Picardie in French) is a medium size gundog of the type called Spaniels. This breed was developed in France around the start of the 20th century.[1][2]

The colour of this dog is always a grey and black specked colour that looks like it is really blue.[1][3]

Temperment[change | change source]

The Blue Picardy Spaniel is usually a happy dog that is gentle with children and gets along well with other dogs. The love their work as hunters but also love to play. They need planty of exercise.[4][3]

Popularity[change | change source]

Although this dog originated in France, it is now more popular as a hunting dog in Canada.[2]
