The Conservative Party of Canada (French: Parti Conservateur du Canada) is a political party in Canada. The party is considered to be on the right of the Political spectrum, unlike the Liberal Party of Canada, Bloc Québécois or the New Democratic Party.

The current party leader is Stephen Harper, who also has been Prime Minister of Canada since 2006. The Conservative Party was elected to form a Minority Government in 2006 and in 2008. The party was elected to form a Majority Government in 2011.[1]
