Enterobacteriaceae is a large family of bacteria are commonly affecting the stomach. The word "Entero" means stomach, and "bacteria", meaning Bacteria and "ceae" meaning family or group, including many of the more familiar pathogens, such as Salmonella and Escherichia coli.
