François Blais (writer)

François Blais (January 3, 1973 – May 14, 2022) was a Canadian children's writer. He received the 2020 Governor General's Award for French-language children's literature for his novel Lac Adélard. He was born in Grand-Mère, Quebec, Canada. He published his first book in 2006.

Blais died at his sister's home in Charette, Quebec on May 14, 2022 at the age of 49.[1]
