Generation Y

Generation Y is made up of people born between 1976 and the early to mid-1990s. (Some people say that Generation Y did not start until the early 1980s.) People in this generation are sometimes called Millennials. They are also called Echo Boomers because of the high birth rate during this period. The high birth rate almost matches that of the Baby Boom period after World War II.
Some of the famous people who belong to Generation Y are Katie Holmes, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Colbie Caillat, and Britney Spears.
