Kent State University is a public university in Kent, Ohio. The university has about 41,365 students. It was founded in 1910. The current president of the university is Lester Lefton.

The athletics teams of the university are called the Golden Flashes. They have 17 varsity teams and they compete in the Mid-American Conference.
