Lafayette Ronald Hubbard (13 March 1911 – 24 January 1986) was an American fiction writer and creator of Dianetics. He also authored Scientology. Hubbard was born in Tilden, Nebraska to Harry Ross Hubbard and Ledora May Hubbard. He died of a stroke in Creston, California.
