Lafayette Ronald Hubbard (13 March 1911 – 24 January 1986) was an American pulp fiction writer who created Dianetics and Scientology. Hubbard was born in Tilden, Nebraska to Harry Ross Hubbard and Ledora May Hubbard. He died of a stroke in Creston, California.
