Malawimonada (order Malawimonadida) is a phylum of microorganisms. They occupy a basal position in the evolutionary tree of eukaryotes.

Malawimonada is a group of biflagellate, free-living protozoans in freshwater or soil.

Phylogeny[change | change source]

The malawimonads are similar to ancyromonads.
