Shirley Ballas

Shirley Annette Ballas (née Rich, formerly Stopford; born 6 September 1960) is an English ballroom dancer, dance teacher, and dance judge.

She works in the International Latin division. It is where she won multiple championship titles earning her the nickname The Queen of Latin.

In 2016, Ballas was appointed as a head judge on the BBC One celebrity dancing show Strictly Come Dancing following the retirement of Len Goodman.
