Steinway & Sons D'274 concert grand piano

D-274 (or D) is the model name of the largest concert grand from Steinway & Sons. It was first built in its current version in 1884. This instrument is the first choice of most concert pianists and dominates both concert halls and recordings. A company author estimated that more than 90% of the concert grand worldwide are Steinway D-274.

With the dimensions 274 cm length, 157 cm width and a weight of 500 kg (status: 2020) the concert grand of the D category is too large for most private environments.[1]
