Stoke City F.C. is an English football club based in Stoke-on-Trent. They started in 1863 as "Stoke Ramblers" which makes them the second oldest Football League club in the world. Stoke City play their home games at a stadium called the Britannia Stadium.
One of Stoke City's most famous players was Stanley Matthews.
