Birth year?[change source]
In the English Wiki, one or more users created accounts and used IP addresses apparently for the sole purpose of editing Mayra Verónica's birth date. S/he repeated changes Verónica's birth year from 1977 to 1980, 1983, or 1986 and removes IMDb citations, which are considered reliable. While her birth certificate is in Cuba which makes it hard to prove, non-blog sites show a birth year of 1977.
IMDb, which is highly reputable, lists her birth year as 1977 in English[1] and Spanish.[2]
The majority of celebrity sites list her birth in 1977 in English,[3][4][5] [6][7], Spanish including AOL's Celestrellas[8], and even German.[9] X17 Agency Celebs reports her being 31 years old in 2008, which means 1977.[10]
Birth dates of 1983 and 1986 also show up on blog sites. One site lists both 1977 and 1983.[11]
Finally, her official or semi-official fan site lists her birth year as 1977,[12] and last, Celebrity Birthday lists her as 32 years old, born in 1977.[13]
According to independent references and the best of anyone's knowledge, her actual birth year is 1977. Editors mustn't strip out references and citations that dispute their preconceptions. I added internal notes not to change the birth year unless we learn something different.

- One of the main problems here is the reliability of the sources. The most credible source listed (and claimed to be very reliable) is IMDb. While it is accepted as a reliable source for cast lists, it is rarely accepted for any other facts as it is all user generated. The rest of the list is all blog/fan based and doesn't even bother to claim to be official in any way. The "Official or semi-official" fam site lists is self as just a fan site. Her "official" site, Maytaveronica.com] does eventually link to this article on blogs.music.Aol.com that lists her as 31 in 2011 (just prior to her Aug b-day leaving 1979/1980 as likely years.
