Marriage[change source]

Is there a reason why the dates keep getting removed in the spouse section?, because she was married to Wayne until his death in 2009, it was correct. 72.71.210.156 (talk) 00:23, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and the reason was given on your talk page. Click the links to see the applicable guidelines. To explain in more detail, this is a biography of a living person (see Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons). There are special requirements for BLPs. The guideline says in part, "Biographical material (material about a living person) must be made with the greatest care and attention to proof, neutrality and avoiding original research." Anyone may add these dates or other sensitive information as long as the statements are cited by high quality reliable sources. As a suggestion, if you look you can probably find an obituary in a reliable source like the New York Times or the Los Angeles times. One or both probably contain the date or year they were married and when he died. Then it is as simple as adding the information followed by a source citation. In the link to Wikipedia:Citing sources you will find a template you can use (just fill in the url, title, author, date, and publisher). If you need any help just ask.
