Fr. Thomas Keating, O.C.S.O. (7 March 1923 – 25 October 2018) was an American Trappist monk and priest. He was born in New York City. Keating was known as one of the architects of Centering Prayer. He was a founder of the Centering Prayer movement and of Contemplative Outreach.

Keating died on 25 October 2018 in Spencer, Massachusetts from respiratory failure at the age of 95.[1]
