On the March 17, 2021 episode of Dynamite, Rosa faced Britt Baker in a Lights Out match[broken anchor]. Rosa was able to defeat Baker in the match. The match was the first women's main event in Dynamite history and was well liked and praised by fans and critics.[4][5]
On July 22, 2021, AEW announced that Rosa had officially signed a contract to be a part of the roster.[6]
At St. Patrick's Day Slam, Rosa faced Baker for the AEW Women's World Championship in a steel cage. Rosa was able to win the match and the championship. This was Rosa's first championship in AEW.[7] After many successful defences, Rosa announced on the August 24 at Dynamite that she had gotten injured and couldn't defend the title anymore.[8] On the November 23 episode of Dynamite, Rosa gave her championship up because of the injury.[9]
