Hiza!

Hiza! I'm back :)! What have you been up to in the past two weeks that I haven't been here? I've noticed that you changed your siggy :). Looks good :) Anyways, I have been fine, and I am out of school now (graduated) :). Hope to hear back from you :) Cheers, Razorflame 22:01, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

YO, glad to see you're back! In the two weeks you were gone, I retired because I didn't like the huge amount of activity on SEWP. Then I can back because I was bored. Then I went to Italy and took some cool photos of me and friends playing football in the sea (will upload tomorrow).
Now I'm writing my EE and TOK essay both of which are very time-consuming. Will e-mail you about those, I have a favour to ask of you.
So how does SEWP compare with Yahoo! Answers? Also, tell me about your graduation! Any plans for the future? --Gwib -(talk)- 22:08, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
It doesn't compare. Both are completely different entities. Yahoo Answers was what I did for the past 2 weeks, but I've grown bored of that site and probably will stay active on this site and another site that I go onto for the next couple of months. Nothing special happened at my graduation, except for lots of blow-up beach balls and animals :). I don't currently have any plans for the future, but I am learning how to drive currently, which is eating up a significant amount of time that I could be spending on here editing the SE:WP :). There has been a large amount of activity on this site ever since the SUL came out, and I myself am surprised at the amount of activity, however, I would prefer there to not be that much activity :). Cheers, Razorflame 22:46, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Hehe, I like Wikipedia being an "entity" :P. Good to hear you graduated, and I hope you did well on your exams. When are you getting the results? Here in Switzerland, you can learn to drive at 16 but in a car restricted to 45MPH. It's rather useful since it's out of the way and the moment you hit 18, you can get a 'normal' car without having to take any test.
I agree with the activity, I thought I was the only one who thought like that. It just confuses, increases chances of 3RR, conflicts, vandalism, sockpuppetry, stalking and God knows what else. Thankfully, ENWP absorbs most of that (check the quote on my userpage - you might like it).
Good luck on deciding what you want to do for a career. Hardest and most influential choice of your life, IMO. --Gwib -(talk)- 23:04, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Yep. The more activity a Wikipedia has, the more vandalism goes unnoticed (because of the sheer volume of the vandalism), the more fights and arguments break out, the more people get into trouble with the 3RR rule and quite a bit more drama than over here. As to how well that I did on my exams, let's just say that I did alright on them :).
Just based on what you told me about how you can start to learn to drive at the age of 16, but in a car restricted to 45MPH makes me want to learn to drive over there more than over here. I have been doing alright in learning to drive, but there is still much more that I need to learn before I will be able to pass my license test. I estimate that I will not be able to pass the license test for at least another 2-3 months, and I am already 18 0_o. I guess that it just goes to show you that I just don't have to motivation to learn how to drive currently.
Yes, I know that picking a career is the hardest choice that I will even make in my life, and to tell you the truth, I just have too many different things that I would want to do for a living. A few of the careers that I thought about trying to achieve have been: Policeman, librarian, teacher, CSI, and quite a few other potential careers, however, if I were to list them all, it would take up too much space.
I now firmly believe that I am the most controversial candidate for adminship. Anyways, drama much, eh? I have also been chugging away at completing all of the Romanian River articles :). 1,300 down, another 7,200-8,000 more to go :). I estimate that if I were the only one making the river articles, and I made between 80 and 120 articles a day, it would still take me just over 2 more months to complete :). I will continue to chug away at completing the river articles, though :). Sorry for the long post, and cheers, Razorflame 18:28, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Re:

First, the word is spelled "Criticism". Second, I don't hate administrators, and to think that I still do is only rehashing of ancient history from Dramaland. I don't despise admins as they once did. Third, I was curious about Creol's deletion as I believed that it was just what Uptojoe restored it as, and I couldn't see that as attacking. I want to know what the page was deleted for. Fourth and last, the Armenian thing was a bit extreme, and I am going to revert it soon. — Jonas Rand · (talk) 20:47, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

(adhering to patronising sectioning) Firstly, I didn't say you hated administrators ("I know you don't like administrators"). Secondly, you of all people know how efficient Creol is, if he deletes, it needed to be deleted. Thirdly, I agree about Dramaland. Why would people act so erratically just because you created 16 or so sockpuppets and vandalised? Pfft. --Gwib -(talk)- 20:54, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Hello, it was an anonym attack against me. I think, it was correct to be deleted--Uptojoe (talk) 20:51, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

To Uptojoe: OK, it needed to be deleted, just want to know.

To Gwib: I don't not like administrators either. Are you trying to be sarcastic and clever about my block in Dramaland? I didn't call it dramaland because of my block there. — Jonas Rand · (talk) 21:05, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

your deletion

The article was initially moved here from the en in hope of questions being asked to help with simplification.

However, the problem with restoration now is that several student members of the IEEE are protecting the revenue generated by sale of the article on the subject by the IEEE. Publication here, where an explanation would be universally simple, is therefore unacceptable to them since it would deny the IEEE from revenue it might otherwise attain. Members

You know.. using the term "member" may not be the best idea. I mean, you may be a "member", but other people may take offense to being called a Member. -- Creol(talk) 17:10, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
HAHA BRILLIANT, I never thought of it like that. Now any other synonym is brimming with mental images. Branches, componants and even segments seem to be more phallic than usual. Members seems oddly fitting though, now that it has a double-entendre :). --Gwib -(talk)- 17:21, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Members should never fit oddly. If they do, you are doing it wrong. -- Creol(talk) 17:26, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
You slay me :P. I suppose it depends on how wordy the member is. Some members have up to 3 words to squeeze in. Other member-lengths can be counted on the fingers of one hand. --Gwib -(talk)- 17:44, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Corpora cavernosa‎

I did a quick copyedit on Corpora cavernosa‎ as there were some issues with it. One of the odd points I saw was that we already had Corpus cavernosum but that one only covered the male side of the subject (and has now been moved to the full name). A major problem was with the statement that the corpus spongiosum filled with blood. While it does aborb some extra blood (almost all tissue does) during an erection, if it were to fill with blood, it would squeeze closed the urethra and prevent ejaculation. Its function is just the opposite, to remain pliable (hense no major/notable blood collecting) and protect the urethra from being clampted closed by the corpus cavernosum penis.

I also added the {{main}} template pointing bit on the male version to the correct article. It better describes how it works and what it does. You should read it.. pretty fair write-up even it it was written by a four day old n00b. Could use some copyediting as bits get redundant, but not a bad descriptions. -- Creol(talk) 13:27, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

I'll take a look and write the female equivalent. I'd love to see those school kids faces when they actually get detailed information instead of 300px pictures of penises to giggle at. --Gwib -(talk)- 15:18, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Sexuality articles

Ohai. Just wanted to say great job with all the work you've been doing so far with the sexuality articles! I'll be helping out here and there since I joined the project... so what's the first order of business? ^_^ -- RyanCross (talk) 09:39, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Glad to see you joined! You can really start with whichever article interests you the most, although I recommend getting all the "Sexual Anatomy - basic" articles out of the way before moving onto the more detailed ones.
Basically, the plan is that when you've pushed an article up to standard, put a {{done}} tag on it. Once we've done every major article (i.e. each major article is  Done) then I'll apply to move the project into the mainspace. That's when we start rating the articles.
Lastly, put an {{inuse}} tag on the article you're improving. It helps reduce edit conflicts. Again, thanks for joining! --Gwib -(talk)- 09:43, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Your welcome. :) I'll be sure to work around them. May I recommend the {{doing}} (darn, not created yet, I'll do that right now) and maybe the {{Not done}} templates also? I think we could use those... but I'm not so sure. By the way, if you want to chat, I'll be at Facebook. ;) -- RyanCross (talk) 09:48, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

What needs to be done?

Hi there. I am trying to get Romania to GA status, and I would like your opinion on the matter as to what still needs to be done to get it to GA status.

The history section only contains the first two sections of what was already written for this article on the English Wikipedia, and details none of the more recent or most recent history of Romania. I am going to continue to add more to the history section until it is completed. There is also another heading that is in the English Wikipedia version of this article that is not included in our version of it yet because I am scared to try to simplify it and add it to our version of the article as I am not very certain if I can get it simplified enough. Maybe you could get it added onto the article for me? I also know that there are a lot of red links on the page, and I have already started creating articles to completely fill in all of the red links on the article, and I also know about all of the fact templates on our version of the article. Since I am not so good with references (I've mainly been using the English Wikipedia's references so far), maybe you could find some references for those statements that the fact templates are next to?

Is there anything else that you can see that needs to be fixed or added? Thanks for your help. Cheers, Razorflame 00:30, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Here's what I'd suggest:
  • Start by getting rid of red links
  • Rename the headers (Demographics or Topography is too complex)
  • Try to find more pictures
After you've done all that, start adding information to it. I'd be happy to help simplify, but if red links are gone, it makes an article look much less daunting. --Gwib -(talk)- 00:35, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Would you care to rename the headings for me, as I know of no simpler words for Topography/Demographics. I will add in a few pictures now :). Thanks for the help and cheers, Razorflame 00:54, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Done with user page redesign

Hi there, Gwib. I finished redesigning your user page, but I wanted your opinion on it first. It can be found at User:RyanCross/Sandbox3. Besides, I can't edit really anything in your userspace because it's all fully protected. :/ If you like the design, I can finish the rest of the pages you wanted designed with it (Talk page, milestones, awards and wikiproject) when you unprotect those pages. Thanks, and I really hope you like it! ^_^ If you would like some tweaks, let me know. -- Ryan†Test (talk) 09:11, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

It looks fantastic! Just a few things to change (should be easy).
  • When you're on a certain tab, can it be the same colour as the border (i.e. the darker blue) rather than now when it's lighter blue?
  • There's a pink line going around the agebox and babel boxes which shouldn't be there
  • When you click on a tab, can you keep the tab menu thing up? It disappears and you need to click 'back' (like w:User:Jossi, make them stay)
  • Last (sorry so many things), can the talk page border and colour match the userpage colour?
Thanks for everything, sorry for being so picky. --Gwib -(talk)- 10:48, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Here are my answers:
  • Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
  • I can fix that. I must have added a wrong color by mistake.  Done -- Ryan†Test (talk) 12:08, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
  • I'm pretty sure.

May I ask you a question?

Hello. I want to ask this article. Why was my edit reverted? I do not understand because I began just to participate. What of me was bad? I am waiting for the answer. --Ashlynx9125 (talk) 12:33, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Basically, what you wrote goes against our neutral point of view (NPOV) policy (found here). The information you added, such as "The person doesn't live easily in Liancourt_Rocks like ahead, and the beautiful flower is not in blossom either ... the purpose of it is to show that South Korea is ruling the effect", isn't neutral and is unsourced. If you can find sources to support what you write, then you can add it back in. --Gwib -(talk)- 12:39, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Also, entire sections of referenced information were removed with no reason or explanation. Some sections were replaced with very badly writen information. Reference tags were damaged. Interwiki links were resorted incorrectly with valid links being removed and invalid ones added (Simple:Liancourt Rocks was added..) -- Creol(talk) 12:52, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for the answer. The reverted reason has been roughly understood. However, there are a lot of problems now. For instance, this sentence "Recently Japan claims that Liancourt Rocks belongs to Japan, as calling them Takeshima." is not correct. Because Japan is consistently insisting on Takeshima at first as Japanese territory. Because it was being admitted by U.S. government that it was Japanese territory in 1951. Hit and run

"he has whined himself" followed by protection. Nice! By the way, why do you insist on dragging non-RFA information into this RFA? Alright, let's try it out. Hopefully, nothing bad will happen, but should we re-protect if tempers spark up again? --Gwib -(talk)- 16:40, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
