2. Request a change in username: Go here and ask for a new name. It will be changed by someone once they get the request.

If you have made few or no changes, then it would be a lot easier to simply create a new account.

Please note that the software Wikipedia uses may automatically block you from creating a new account – this is a mistake, and shouldn't have happened. If this has happened, attract attention using the unblock template as explained above, and an admin will fix it for you.
