Categories[change source]
Some of the categories you created are inappropriate, because they are self-referential to the Wikipedia. Categories should be subject areas, not based on the format. Here are the ones I think we need to fix:
- Category:Categories - self-referential, and potentially can grow to be way to large. A list of categories is already generated at Special:Categories.
- Category:List - just because the page is a list, this category offers no other classification. A list of lists can be found at Special:Allpages/List.
- Category:Misc - if the subject is miscellaneous, then it should not be categorized at all yet.
- Category:Cosmology is a specific field within Astronomy. Most of the articles you've been putting in their belong in Category:Astronomy, which is a Simple English word.
Remember also that category names should not be singular, so Category:Day of Year should be Category:Days. If you'd like to help fix some of these things, please let me know. -- Netoholic @ 04:15, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Cat:Cosmology should not be deleted. there are still many articles, like Big Bang, which are better put into Cat:Cosmology. When it doubt, it helps to see how the English Wikipedia does things - en:Category:Cosmology. -- Netoholic @ 05:00, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Simple English Lessons is a not a very good page name for this, either.

Simple English Lessons is not necessarily good name ( the abbreviation SEL is OK ).
Finding a really good name is an interesting task. :-)

- Articles are not "Lessons"; we're not here to teach English, we just write in Simple English. Please stop creating articles like Jade and Gemstones which have the same ideas repeated with different words. .se = simple english ( so easy ) :-)
.se = Sverige (Sweden) ( Drat! - already taken ) :-(
.sw = Sweden (Sverige) ( If we ask them nicely, there is no clash ) ;-)
