Nice thing you did to security, I like it Happy Editing!

Adminship[change source]

I have just proposed on Wikipedia:Administrators that your candidacy be reopened, since it was supported in March by everyone except one admin who has been gone 3 months. This has already received some support. Would you be willing to consider this? Blockinblox 14:55, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the confidence and trust you place in me. :) I think becoming an admin would be great. However, I do not think that I have the time to do more edits that what I am doing currently (that is: 200-400 edits/month, according to edit count). -- Eptalon 15:20, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I would be very happy to nominate Eptalon for adminship, given his qualiities and expertise.-- Tdxiang Adminship 02:57, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, then please do. Thank you for the confidence and trust. :) -- Eptalon 13:17, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done!. Please declare acceptance.-- Tdxiang Adminship 03:19, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

thank you[change source]

for the tip. I'm new so I need still to learn. Hanneki 18:14, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be written in the simplest possible language. Words like "construct" or "imagine" are too complicated.--Filll 22:37, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you![change source]

Dear Eptalon, thank you for your support. Despite all that, Netoholic has some concerns and therefore cannot promote me to admin status. However, i do not hold anything against him. Once again, thank you for voting!-- Tdxiang 02:42, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[change source]

Yes, you're right. In this particular case, you're twice right: it seems to be coming from a school... Ciao, M7 22:59, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry...[change source]

I apologize. I thought you were accusing him of edit warring (à la Netoholic). I will remove my comment. PullToOpen Talk 23:35, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That was kind of the feeling I got also when I saw the message. Was a little confused there. Then again, I had just finished a round of about 120 edits so it wouldnt take much to confuse me right now. --Creol 23:40, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

deletion of dictionary words[change source]

Sorry, we shouldn't delete pages for words that are on our internal lists, see Wikipedia:Deletion policy#Pages that should not be deleted. Quiet appears on the BE 850 and VOA Special English wordlists. -- Netoholic @ 20:01, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mathematical Definition of Dimension[change source]

No offense, but when I read the "mathematical definition" it seems

  1. wrong and limited
  2. not simple enough

I am coming at this as someone with a PhD in mathematical physics and another 5 degrees in mathematics and physics. Do you want to take another try or should I edit it? --Filll 20:13, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Use {{stub}}[change source]

Hi, thanks for your contributions. I'm very picky about articles, and would appreciate if you used the stub tag. It's a pain to go to New pages and go to every article and put {{stub}}. So, please use it. Thank you for helping SE Wikipedia, and I hope you have a good day. MoglinFiend 22:15, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Admin-sysop[change source]

Sei un sysop ora, You are an admin now, WELCOME, --vector ^_^ (talk) 09:43, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar Congratulations on your sucessful RfA!!

Vector is right! Congratulations! And... I will wait until Monday to claim my reward. Cheers!-- Tdxiang 09:45, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SeriAl killer[change source]

Sometimes I realy have to wonder about my spelling.. Cat doesnt have a move function, so I redid the cat links to it, redid the correct page, and tagged the incorrect one for deletion. Thanks for pointing this out -- Creol 22:16, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I forgot about the edit summary, but I use it sometimes though. I'll use it more often from now on. Thanks for the reminder. 89.98.95.206 12:15, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats[change source]

I have been away for 2 days but just now returned, see you are now finally an admin... Anyway, Congrats! Blockinblox 02:25, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did not know to put it on the deletion page because I have only been here for 4 days. Have a nice week and god bless.--Sir James Paul 15:10, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did not take it personaly. I just wanted to let you know that I am new and that I did not do it on pupose. By the way congrats on adimship. You will be great. God bless you and give you the power to be a great adim.--Sir James Paul 15:23, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thegirlnextdoor[change source]

This user has been using a sock IP to vandalise. "She" has done it for four times. I've deleted those articles. You might consider a block on this user. Just like I am.-- Tdxiang 10:17, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, spelling[change source]

Dear Eptalon, do mind your spelling. "For" becomes "ofr" when you type. Be careful and happy working with the mop. :)-- Tdxiang 13:33, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Hello, there[change source]

Okay. I will take your advice. Grazie (thank you) for your help and advice! --!Abby! 21:58, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Bobo[change source]

This user is just here today and causing vandalism. I would suggest watching him. --AbbyItalia 02:22, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't Understand[change source]

many of my pages are considered spam, because I gave a link to a service (eg. Google answers) then people disagreed with me disagreeing with Google article. Why? are you all so unfair??Bobo 02:44, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Voting twice on an RFD[change source]

Hello, you voted twice on this Rfd. Do you mind if you tell which decision did you want to make? Thank you.-- Tdxiang 03:15, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are two articles that the RFD is concerning. He voted on both of them. PullToOpen Talk 04:02, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify, I separated the two entries, I had one for Christian cult (Which i felt worthy of deletion), and another one (Cult), which i felt could be spared. In the end, both were saved, obtaining only 3, and 1 delete votes respectively (of a total of 8) -- Eptalon 11:55, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator rollback[change source]

I'm not sure what policies or guidelines may exist for the administrator rollback button on this Wikipedia, but I don't appreciate having my good faith edits reverted with it, especially when they do not appear to be obvious vandalism. If you're going to revert my edits in future, I'd like to see a decent edit summary explaining why; I'm sure you'd feel the same way if you were in my position. J Di 17:31, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I left a comment on your talk page. Basically, reverting was just faster than putting in the RFD again. Nothing against you, personally of course. It looksl ike the situation has mostly resolved itself with the creation of two disambiguation pages. -- Eptalon 11:57, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I need help[change source]

I have no clue how to put pictures on articles, can you please tell me how on my talk page.--Sir James Paul 01:20, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Currently I am runing to become a sysop. The main reason why I want to become one is to better help in the war against vandalism, I believe in tougher blocks against vandals and after the 2 time they vandaliz an article I will impose a ban on them. I have a lot of free time so I will be a active sysop. At one point I had a average of 50 edits a day, now I have a average of 30 because I was busy and not able to edit. If you have any questions ask me on my talk page please. to vote go to Wikipedia:Administrators. Have a nice week and god bless.--Sir James Paul 21:05, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

warning IPs[change source]

No problem, I tend to be hit and miss on warnings. Some days I remember others it totally slips my mind. -- Creol 09:48, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About the user MJ07, was it just one copyvio article posted once, or was it reposted etc? We normally just warn people about copyrights if it's just one incident, it's normally an accident. Thanks, Archer7 - talk 14:20, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, we all make mistakes! Archer7 - talk 14:29, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question[change source]

What template did you use on 128.210.59.102 talk page?--Sir James Paul 23:47, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, just wanted to know. --71.231.130.56 23:11, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar[change source]

Barnstar Congratulations: You have been given a Barnstar!

I am giving you this barnstar for your hard work at reverting vandalism.

--Sir James Paul 16:28, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AbbyItalia[change source]

This Ip 71.231.130.56, admitted to being abbyitalia. Have a nice week.--Sir James Paul 00:31, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dictionary definitions.[change source]

If you want a few more for consideration to be deleted, check category:Definitions. As I have been working of the uncategorized pages I have been tossing a few (30+) in there. Some actually have cats other than Cat:definition and more than one is likely BE850 (not too many though) but there are plenty that are just basic definitions which could be added to the delete discussion.

Oh and on you Userpage, under admin requests - typo on Anything -- Creol 11:50, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the barnstar. Have a nice week and god bless.--Sir James Paul 20:24, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have a strong feeling that IsadoraIQueen is 71.231.130.56, or abbyitalia. --Sir James Paul 00:56, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mooceleimh[change source]

Maybe we should shorten his block to maybe to a week or two. He was only warned twice (I was warned more than that on wikipedia) and he is a new user. I doubt he even knows the policies and guidlines. If it was not for the welcome I would not. Thanks.--Sir James Paul 03:04, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Enchenton[change source]

Enchenton (talk • contribs • CA • deleted contribs • nuke contribs • logs • filter log • block user • block log) looks like a vandalism only account. Could you consider changing the length of their block to indefinite please? Thanks. J Di 23:30, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism?[change source]

"Your recent edits are vandalism and this is not acceptable on any Wikipedia". Not acceptable according to whom? I don't see that what I've done is particularly wrong.--Bobo the clown 14:43, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Would this be vandalism?[change source]

Someone ( IP Address 208.198.210.253) editted this into the article greenhouse effect. "Many peoples are very interested in the greenhouse effect in the atmosphere of the Earth. Factories, farms, and other things that human beings do to make many different gases that go into the Earth's atmosphere. The gases carbon dioxide, methane, and chlorothingamagjihggers make the atmosphere less transparent to heat, so the Earth might maybe get warmer." Another thing put was "my grandmas farts produce methane gas", but I got rid of it. Would this be considered vandalism, or just incorrect facts made silly? ~Bobo~

Vandalism[change source]

Hello Eptalon. I want to make a anti-vandalism bot here, how do I go about doing it? It really does not seem like vandalism gets reverted here overly fast and that is why I want to make a anti-vandalism bot. Will you please respond on my talk page at wikipedia. Thanks. --^Sir^James^Paul^ 19:45, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • What I was thinking was to just have one like the AntiVandal bot at wikipedia. If I was to make it would have the same programing. The antivandal bot at wikipedia revrtes only clear vandalism and warns the vandal. We need all the help we can get here. I really do not see many people helping out with that kind of thing here.--^Sir^James^Paul^ 20:00, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Beah Queah keeps on claiming I am a sockpuppet of Kimberly Ashton, when it is confirmed I am not. They also keep vandalizing and once, blanked my talk page and added nonsense. They are also changing my edits, and vandalizing. ~Bobo~

simple logarithm[change source]

Your simple entry for logarithm is ambiguous by using 3 in two places in the example. I'd fix it, but I don't have a simple account. I'd also question whether it makes sense to introduce the notion of exponentiation in a so-called simple article, or whether it makes sense to have such an article at all for a mathematic concept that's useless when not understood properly. Actually, I'm pretty skeptical about the simple thing altogether, since everytime I look at things there I find simple language with no useful content. What's your take on it? 68.35.152.242 16:45, 29 December 2006 (UTC) Never mind, I went ahead and did it anonymously. 68.35.152.242 16:55, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
