Valence electron
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In chemistry, valence electrons are the electrons in the outside or valence electron shell of an atom. Valence electrons are important in how a chemical element reacts with other elements. Elements which have eight valence electrons (noble gases) are inert and they haven't tend to create chemical reaction with other elements in Periodic table group. Number of valence electron is also important for determines a group of element in Periodic table group, because element's number of valence electron is the same to number of group in Periodic system.
