Wilson Pickett (March 18, 1941 – January 19, 2006) was an American R&B/soul singer and songwriter.

Picket was a major figure in the development of American soul music. Among his best known hits are "In the Midnight Hour", "Land of a Thousand Dances", "Mustang Sally", "Hey Jude" and "Funky Broadway". Pickett often crossed over to the US Billboard Hot 100.

In 2023, Pickett appears at number 76 on the Rolling Stone magazine's "200 best singers of all time" list.
