Áfram Latibær! (English: Go LazyTown!) is an Icelandic children's play by Magnús Scheving. It is based on his book of the same name. It was first performed in 1996 in Loftkastalinn and became popular in Iceland.[1][2] It was directed by Baltasar Kormákur and later evolved into LazyTown, a famous TV series.
Plot
[change | change source]The people of LazyTown are lazy and unhealthy but must compete in a local sports competition. The Mayor finds this out after the President sends him a letter. He cannot convince them to change their ways, but Sportacus does. After that, LazyTown wins the sports competition.
