The 2022 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was a single-elimination college basketball tournament. There were 68 teams in it. The tournament was for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's college basketball. The winner of it was the national champion for the 2021–22 college basketball season. The tournament started on March 15, 2022. It ended on April 4.[1] The championship game was between the Kansas Jayhawks and North Carolina Tar Heels. The Jayhawks won against the Tar Heels by three points (72–69).[2][3] This was the fourth time the Jayhawks won the national championship.[4]
