AIV: Evolution, or A-Train IV (Japanese as A-Ressha de Ikou 4), (Europe as Evolution Global) and (North American as A-Train) is a Strategy game, developed and published by Artdink, which was released in Japan in 1994 and 1995.

In North America published by Maxis, released in 1996. In Europe published by SCEE, released in 1996. It was launch title in Japan on AIV Evolution: A-Ressha de Ikou 4 in PlayStation.

Gameplay[change | change source]

A.IV. Evolution is an updated console-only port of Take the A-Train IV, the fourth main entry in Artdink's long-running railroad management simulation series. It is largely a straight port of the original PC title, but the interface and graphics have been redesigned for the console format.

Development and release[change | change source]

A sequel, A.IV Evolution Global, was released in Japan on November 22, 1995.
