Adlai Ewing Stevenson III (born October 10, 1930) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. He represented the state of Illinois in the United States Senate from 1970 until 1981. His father was Governor Adlai Stevenson II and his grandfather was Vice President Adlai E. Stevenson.

Stevenson III was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 10, 1930.[1] He attended the Milton Academy in Massachusetts, Harrow School, in England, and Harvard College. Stevenson has one son.
