Akihito Kondo (近藤 昭仁, Kondo Akihito, 1 April 1938 – 27 March 2019) was a Japanese baseball player. He played as a pitcher. He played for the Taiyō Whales in Nippon Professional Baseball from 1960 to 1973. He was named the Japan Series Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 1960. He was later manager of the Yokohama BayStars from 1993 to 1995 and the Chiba Lotte Marines in 1997 and 1998.

Kondo was born in Takamatsu, Kagawa. He died on 27 March 2019, at the age of 80.[1]
