It is based on a book by Chris Kyle called American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History. It stars Bradley Cooper in the leading role with Sienna Miller. It was released to positive reviews on December 25, 2014. The movie was nominated for six awards at the 2015 Oscars.
