Dame Angela Brigid Lansbury DBE (born 16 October 1925) is an English character actress of stage, film, and television. She is notable for her roles as Jessica Fletcher in the long-running American whodunit series Murder, She Wrote (1984–1996), and as the voice of Mrs. Potts in the Disney film Beauty and the Beast (1991).
