Apple & Onion (abbreviated as A&O), is an British-American animated series. It was created by George Gendi for Cartoon Network. The series is produced by Cartoon Network Studios and has 76 episodes only for 2 seasons. The series is a surreal comedy which focuses on the title characters of Apple and Onion and their adventures in a city of anthropomorphic (human-like) food.

A short pilot episode of Apple & Onion was shown at Annecy International Animated Film Festival in 2015, and later released online in May 2016. The short was picked up for a limited series in March 2017 and premiered on Friday, 23 February 2018, with a premiere on the Cartoon Network App on 16 February 2018 and on-demand one week before the series. On Sunday, 17 June 2018, it was stated that the series was still in production.[source?] Deadline reported that the series had been picked up for a second season on 20 May 2019.[1]

The first episode of the second season aired on Tuesday, 21 July 2020.[2] The series finale aired on Tuesday, 7 December 2021.[3] On Friday, 11 February 2022, the series creator George Gendi announced that the complete series was being streamed on HBO Max and confirmed the show had ended.[4][5] In January 2025, Facebook announced the show's removal from the streaming service, after the second season was removed from Hulu on Sunday, 15 September 2024.[source?] The show was removed from HBO Max on Tuesday, 11 February 2025.[6]
