Area code 904 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) serving the state of Florida in the United States. It covers the northeastern part of Florida, including the city of Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Orange Park, and Fernandina Beach and its surrounding areas. It was created in 1965 as a split from 305. It was split by 813 in 1953, 352 in 1995, 850 in 1998, and 386 in 2001. It was then overlaid by 324 on February 26, 2024.[1]
