Berchtesgaden (IPA: [bɛʁçtəsˈgaːdən]; West Central Bavarian: Berchtsgoan) is a municipality in the Bavarian Alps of Germany. It is found in the southern district of Berchtesgadener Land in Bavaria, near the border with Austria. It lies north of Nationalpark Berchtesgaden.
