"Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is a song by Green Day. Green Day is an American punk rock band. The song is from their seventh studio album, American Idiot (2004). It is the second single from the album. Billie Joe Armstrong wrote the words for the song.

The song is about Jesus of Suburbia (the protagonist of American Idiot) walking down a road after "Holiday".[1] Many consider "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" to be one of the best songs written by Green Day.[2][3][4] It has received many awards, such as the Grammy Award for Record of the Year.[5] It was number two on the Billboard Hot 100.[6]
