Brookville is a city in Saline County, Kansas, United States. In 2020, 247 people lived there.[3]

Brookville was planned out in 1870 when the Kansas Pacific Railway was built to that point.[4] The first post office in Brookville was created in February 1870.[5]

Brookville is at 38°46′24″N 97°52′5″W / 38.77333°N 97.86806°W (38.773464, -97.868015).[6] The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.57 square miles (1.48 km2). All of it is land.[2]

Brookville has hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. The Köppen Climate Classification system says that Brookville has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps.[7]

The 2020 census says that there were 247 people, 92 households, and 62 families living in Brookville. Of the households, 78.3% owned their home and 21.7% rented their home.
The median age was 35.9 years. Of the people, 92.3% were White, 1.6% were Native American, 0.4% were Asian, 0.8% were from some other race, and 4.9% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.2% of the people.[3][9]
