Carl Neumann Degler

Carl Neumann Degler (born 6 February 1921) is an American historian. Degler served as president of the Organization of American Historians, president of the American Historical Association and president of the Southern Historical Association. He is the Margaret Byrne Professor of American History Emeritus at Stanford University.[1]

Degler was born in Orange, New Jersey.
