Chelsi Smith

Chelsi Putok Anglit Smith (August 23, 1973 – September 8, 2018) was a former Miss USA and singer.[1] In February 1995, she was crowned Miss USA. She competed as Miss Texas. Smith was born in Redwood City, California.

Smith was the first African-American to win Miss Texas USA.[2]

Smith died at the age of 45 on September 8, 2018 of liver cancer in Redwood City.[2][3]
