Cinderella Man is a 2005 American biographical sports drama movie. directed by Ron Howard and produced by Brian Grazer. The movie stars Russell Crowe, Renee Zellweger, and Paul Giamatti. It tells the true story of heavyweight boxing champion James J. Braddock, who was dubbed "The Cinderella Man" by journalist Damon Runyon. The film marked the second collaboration for Howard and Crowe, succeeding A Beautiful Mind (2001).

has a 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.[2] Due to a low opening, AMC Theatres advertised on June 24, 2005 that it would offer a refund to any ticket-buyer dissatisfied with the film to try and help boost ticket sales.[3]
