Coraline Ada Ehmke is a software developer, and some say that she is an open source advocate[1] in Chicago, Illinois. She is a web developer, engineer, consultant, educationist, advertiser, healthcare specialist, and software development infrastructure specialist. She is known for her work in Ruby. She is also known for her social justice work and activism, the creation of Contributor Covenant, and promoting adoption of codes of conduct for open source projects.

Ehmke began software writing using the Perl programming language.

Ehmke is transgender, and began her change in March 2014.[2][3]
