David Giler

David Kevin Giler (July 23, 1943[1] – December 19, 2020) was an American screenwriter and television director. His career began in 1962 and he retired in 2017. He was best known for writing the screenplay for Aliens, Fun with Dick and Jane and The Money Pit.

Giler was married to actress Nancy Kwan from 1970 until their divorce in 1972.

On December 19, 2020, he died of cancer at his home in Bangkok, Thailand at the age of 77.[2][3]
