Dillenia philippinensis

Dillenia philippinensis (katmon) is a fruit. It mainly occurs to the Philippines. It has a soft and fleshy greenish edible pulp that is used for flavoring fish and making jams or sauces. Its flavor is said to be similar to a green apple. When cooked it can be used as a vegetable. The leaves of its tree have been used to treat headaches, fever, and dysentery.
