Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (born February 15, 1984), better known as The Duffer Brothers, are American writers, directors and producers of movies and television. They are best known for creating the Netflix science fiction/horror series Stranger Things (2016–present). They wrote and directed the movie Hidden (2015). The Duffers also wrote episodes of the Fox series Wayward Pines (2015–2016).

The Duffers were born in Durham, North Carolina. They are twin brothers. They moved to California in 2007.[1]
