ER is an American medical drama television series that aired on NBC from September 19, 1994 to April 2, 2009. Novelist Michael Crichton was the creator of the show.

The show is about the fictional County General Hospital in Chicago. It showed stories from the emergency room.

ER won 23 Primetime Emmy Awards.[1] It won 116 awards overall, including the Peabody Award. The show was nominated for 124 Emmys.
