Eduardo Ortiz Jasso

Eduardo Ortiz Jasso (born November 2, 1969) is a Mexican architect and urban planner,[1] living in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.[2]

Early life[change | change source]

He holds a master's degree in sustainable urban design and management from the Universidad Iberoamericana. He was awarded the UNAM Baz Prada Prize in 1992. [3]

He was director and founder of the Municipal Institute of Planning for Urban Development of Benito Juárez, IMPLAN.[4]

Professional career[change | change source]

For a period of six years,[5] he was the general director of the Strategic Projects Agency of the State of Quintana Roo.[6][7][8]

Eduardo was also UN Habitat's Prosperous Cities Program Coordinator for Mexico.[9]

He is a member of the International Association of Urban Planners (Isocarp) and was president for the Association in Mexico.[10][11]

In 2022, Eduardo was appointed general director of the Quintana Roo Institute for Development and Financing.[12]
