Education in the Northern Mariana Islands

Children in the Northern Mariana Islands must go to school from the ages of 6 to 18.[1]

Public schools are governed by the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Public School System. The system is based on the public school system in the United States. It was started in 1987.[1]

There is one university in the territory: Northern Marianas College in Saipan.[2] It has campuses in Tinian and Rota.
