Edwardsville, Illinois

Edwardsville, home to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is a city in Madison County, Illinois, United States. As of 2020, the population was 26,808.[1] It is the county seat of Madison County.[2] The city was named in honor of Ninian Edwards, then Governor of the Illinois Territory.
