Elinor Ross (August 1, 1926 – March 6, 2020) was an American opera singer and soprano. She was known for her many works at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City and at major opera houses in Europe and the Americas, in roles such as Puccini's Tosca and Turandot.

Ross was forced into retirement in 1979 due to illness. She died on March 6, 2020 in Manhattan from renal failure at the age of 93.[1]
