Evelyn Lear

Evelyn Shulman Lear (January 8, 1926 — July 1, 2012) was an American opera singer. She sang soprano. She trained at the Julliard School of Music and in Berlin.[1] She was active mainly from the late 1950s to the middle of 1992. She received a Grammy Award in 1966. She also appeared in several movies.

Lear was born in Brooklyn, New York City. She died at age 86 in Sandy Spring, Maryland.[2]
