Françoise Seligmann

Françoise Seligmann (born Françoise Jullien; 9 June 1919 in Marseille – 27 February 2013 in Neuilly-sur-Seine) was a French journalist, resistance fighter, and politician. She was awarded the Legion of Honor.

In December 1941, she joined the French resistance where she worked with Roland de Pury,[1] Marcel Peck , and Claude Bourde. She was a member of Combat (French Resistance).[2] In 1946, she founded La Française. [3] From 1955, she worked with Pierre Mendès France.[4][5] From 1992 to 1995, she was senator from Hauts-de-Seine.[6][7] She created Fondation Seligmann, to support human rights.[8][9]
