Sapporo Municipal FukuiGakuen is a Gimukyouikugakkou (integrated elementary and junior high school) located in Higashi-ku, Sapporo, Japan.
It is the only school in Sapporo with special certification and the only school in Sapporo with special certification for compulsory education.[1]
On April 1, 2023, Sapporo Municipal Fukui Elementary School and Fukui Junior High School were closed, and the school opened its doors with the school building intact.
The rooftop observatory was installed in 1985, and in 2008, Nishioka Observatory donated a 35cm reflector telescope. Observation sessions are still held several times a year.[2][3]
The name Fukui is derived from the name of a school, and is due to emigration(ja:移住) from Fukuoka (ja:福岡).

- 1884 - Terakoya education by Fukuoka clan members begins[5].
- 1893 - Fukui branch of the Shinoro Educational Institute opened.
- 1900 - Sapporo County Public Fukui Elementary School opened[9].
- 1914 - Due to the Ishikari River flood control construction, the school building was moved to its current location.
- 1945 - Sapporo Municipal Fukui Junior High School opened[9].
- 1985 - An observatory was installed on the roof.
- 2023 - Sapporo Municipal Compulsory Education School Fukui Gakuen opened.
