Gabriel Agbonlahor (born 13 October 1986) is an English retired footballer. He last played for Aston Villa.[2] He is of Nigerian and Scottish descent through his grandparents.

Club career[change | change source]

Gabriel Agbonlahor's professional football career started in 2005. He played his first game for Watford on loan from Aston Villa. This means that he was still an Aston Villa player, but he was allowed to play for Watford to get experience. He then played for Sheffield Wednesday, again on loan. At 19 years old, he played his first English Premier League game in 2006 for Aston Villa. He started the match and scored a goal, although Villa lost 4-1 against Everton F.C.

Gabriel Agbonlahor played 16 games for the England Under 21 team. He also played 3 games for the England national football team in 2008 and 2009.
